Hua Pak Cheong is the practice leader for HRM3 Asia’s Organization Effectiveness (OE) practice.

He has spent more than 25 years in the corporate world after leaving the civil service. He worked first as a production supervisor and later final testing line supervisor in an electronics (LED/LCD display) manufacturing plant before joining the banking industry where he held various positions. His experience in the banking industry covered corporate treasury marketing in an international financial institution, as well as training and development  in a local Singapore bank. Later he headed Singapore's Institute of Banking & Finance as its director before joining Standard Chartered Bank as its South East Asia regional head in charge of training and development, management succession, career planning and development. His regional responsibilities covered Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines,Thailand, Vietnam, and later Australia.

Besides his vast experience in training and consulting where he focuses on leadership development, management skills, interpersonal skills, conflict management skills,  teambuilding, change and transition management, he is well-versed in personality and behaviour style profiling for career development and counselling. Besides being proficient in the use of a wide range of diagnostic instruments, he is a Master Trainer of two versions of the DISC instruments, namely DISCinsights™ and Extended DISC®.
 
Pak Cheong is a trained administrator and implementer of the assessment/talent  development centre for identification and development of management talent and managed Standard Chartered Bank South East Asia's assessment centre.

In addition, he gained considerable first-hand experience in organisational effectiveness improvement when he was involved in top-down company-wide organisational culture change initiatives in a multinational company.

As a consultant since 1993 he has worked with a wide range of clients throughout  Asia in Singapore, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, and Taiwan. Clients include multinational corporations, local corporates, and government-linked companies.

Pak Cheong has a B.Sc (Econ) degree from the University of London and a MBA degree from the University of Strathclyde. He is a member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (USA) and is a Certified Behavioural Consultant and Analyst.
